Key Areas of Impact

Empowering through action FIRST

At The First Nation Group Foundation, we believe in creating real change by actively supporting the communities we serve. Guided by a commitment to service and driven by compassion, we’ve dedicated ourselves to empowering Veterans, active-duty military members, and the underserved in communities where we live and work. Through a focus on key areas of impact, we work to address urgent needs and enhance the quality of life for those who have given so much. Each of these areas embodies our mission to foster resilience, support well-being, and inspire hope in meaningful ways.

Adaptive Sports

Adaptive sports transform lives, empowering individuals through wellness, rehabilitation, and recovery. Our impact partnerships emphasize holistic, therapeutic programs and services designed to promote fellowship, foster community, and above all, gain independence. From week-long adaptive sport clinics for newly injured Veterans to paralympic competitions, we support a variety of adaptive sporting activities with a goal of promoting healthy lifestyles through movement.

Education

We believe that knowledge is a powerful tool for change. By partnering with organizations that create educational programs, community outreach, mentorships, and awareness initiatives, we aim to empower individuals and communities to learn, grow, and give, building a brighter future for all, #TOGETHERSTRONG.

In honor of the late Kendra Tennille Rayner Smith, a cherished First Nation Group employee and passionate healthcare advocate, The First Nation Group Foundation is proud to announce the Kendra Smith Scholarship. Learn more!

Homelessness + Housing

Homelessness + Housing

Rebuilding following injury and hardship isn’t easy. Our goal is to eliminate obstacles for Veterans and their families, ensuring they have access to long-term housing and personalized accessibility solutions that meet their specific needs. We work one on one with organizations to eradicate homelessness, placing Veterans and their families into permanent, affordable housing, and support customized, fully accessible homes, both new builds and renovations.

Military + First Responders

Military

We are dedicated to supporting military personnel who risk their lives to protect others. By partnering with programs that offer employment services, family assistance, authentic connection, and life-changing experiences, we want to ensure these brave individuals have the resources they need to strengthen families and communities.

Suicide Prevention + Mental Health

Suicide Prevention + Mental Health

Tackling the most complex needs takes a village – and, we recognize the challenges our Veterans and military personnel face as they transition through every stage of life’s journey. By investing in a range of intensive, immersive programs and evidence-based therapeutic resources, we are actively participating in the effort to help our Veterans and service members transition from hopelessness to resilience.

Veteran Services

Veterans + Community Services

We are dedicated to creating meaningful partnerships as a comprehensive approach to bridge the gap for our community and Veterans. Whether through support of women services, employment opportunities, service animal assistance, or military benefits, we are deeply committed to addressing the unique needs of our community and those that served.
