Employee Spotlight: Cassandra Lewis
First Nation Group is proud to introduce our June Employee Spotlight featuring Cassandra Lewis!
Cassandra plays a key role on the IT team at First Nation Group. She’s a reader, a roller skater, an 8-year cancer free survivor, and loves hanging out with her sorority sisters! Here’s a sneak peak into the life of Cassandra Lewis!
What is it like working for First Nation Group?
Giving back is near and dear to me and to work for a company that shares the same interest is wonderful.
Describe First Nation Group in three words.
Philanthropic, Caring, and Fun
What hashtags describe your personality best?
#Loveable #Warrior #HeartofGold
What’s something people don’t know about you?
I love roller skating. I started skating when I was around 15 years old. Most, if not all, the kids in the neighborhood would go to the local rink to skate so that is how I learned. I even joined a skating club called “The Royal Mates.” We skated all over putting on shows and participating in skating competitions. I even skated in a Thanksgiving Day Parade!
June includes national Cancer Survivor’s Day. As a breast cancer survivor, is there a message you would like to share with others battling cancer or supporting a loved one battling cancer?
My message would be “always fight, even if you’re alone, you must fight and trust you will win!”
Favorite charitable organization: Susan G. Komen Foundation
Favorite books: Memoirs and biographies are my favorite reads, but those romance novels are at the top of my list as well. Terry McMillian is one my most favorite authors.
Thank you, Cassandra, for sharing your story with us and for all of the amazing work you do to spread Breast Cancer awareness!
