Employee Spotlight: Dee Collins

First Nation Group is proud to introduce June’s Employee Spotlight, Dee Collins!

Dee plays a key role on the First Nation Group team as the Purchasing Inventory Coordinator. On a day off, you will most likely find Dee taking care of her plants or kayaking out on the open water!

Those that know Dee would describe her as having a strong work ethic. She puts her all into everything she does, whether it is ensuring our Veterans receive the products they need or keeping up with distribution inventory, Dee gets it done.

Be sure to read the full interview and get a sneak peek into the life of Dee Collins through this month’s Employee Spotlight!

Do you have a charity that is near and dear to your heart? Who and why?
Hermosa Templo is the charity that I like to donate to. The pastor is my fiancé’s mother, and this church was passed down to her by her father. It’s a small, family church that has been running since 1976 in San Antonio, Texas.

What advice would you give to a new hire at First Nation Group?
I started as a temp and have worked up to two promotions. If you apply yourself, it will be noticed. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and go that extra mile whenever you can.

What is your biggest takeaway from your time at First Nation Group?
I had only been in one other warehouse setting when I first came to First Nation Group – it was quite a bit larger in comparison. I loved the small, hometown feel of First Nation Group. It had its own flow that worked, and I was excited to get involved.

What are three words you would use to describe First Nation Group?
Conscientious. Driven. Family.

Dee, we truly appreciate everything you do as an exceptional member of the First Nation Group family!
