First Nation Group joins Giving in July benefiting Wreaths Across America and Blue Star Families
First Nation Group is proud to join the Giving in July campaign benefiting Wreaths Across America (WAA) and Blue Star Families! Starting July 1st, First Nation Group will match all Veteran wreath sponsorships, up to five (5) wreaths per employee, with a portion benefiting Blue Star Families. This #DoGoodTwice effort allows the First Nation Group team to support active-duty military families, in addition to our fallen service members.
WAA’s mission is to remember the fallen, honor those who serve, and teach our children the value of freedom. This year-long mission is carried out by placing sponsored Veterans’ wreaths on the headstones of our fallen service members each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, December 16, 2023. In 2022, 2.7 million Veterans’ wreaths were placed by volunteers at 3,728 participating locations nationwide.

I learned about Wreaths Across America six years ago through a volunteering event placing wreaths on the graves of American Veterans. It was a very emotional experience, being able to show my son that even long after serving, we don’t forget our Veterans. Since then, I sponsor a wreath each year to be placed on the graves of my grandfather and father-in-law. They will forever be in my heart. I feel honored to be able to continue showing my respect for their patriotism.”

WAA collaborates with many community partners, like Blue Star Families, as a “ripple effect of kindness” – sharing the same patriotic mission of honoring and respecting military families and Veterans in their communities. Since 2009, Blue Star Families has empowered military families to thrive by connecting them with their civilian neighbors, both people and organizations, to create strong communities of support. You’ll #DoGoodTwice when you sponsor a wreath to be placed on a Veteran’s grave, through First Nation Group’s Giving in July campaign because it provides: (1) a wreath for a Veteran’s grave and (2) a $5 donation in support of Blue Star Families.
