Holiday Giving Initiative In Support of Marine Toys for Tots
First Nation Group is committed to giving back in meaningful ways nationally and in our local communities, hoping our actions inspire others to do the same. This holiday season, we are happy to announce that we will be supporting the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation for a second year, in their mission to collect new, unwrapped toys to distribute to less fortunate children.
The perfect toy means the world to a child in need. Created in 1947 by the U.S. Marine Corps, Toys for Tots has made it their mission to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; the program and its supporters play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources, our children. Toys for Tots aims to unite all members of local communities in a common cause each year during their annual toy collection and distribution campaign, ultimately, contributing to improving communities in the future.
Since its beginning in 1947, Toys for Tots has distributed 604 million toys to 272 million children. And in 2020, Toys for Tots introduced their Virtual Toybox, an even easier way to give during the holiday season. The Virtual Toy Box is very user-friendly and offers a variety of toys and price point options. By simply selecting the child’s age and toys you would like to give via the Virtual Toybox, your donation will be distributed across the country to children who need them the most… and the best part is, delivery is taken care of by the very dedicated Toys for Tots team!
As a company, we donated 174 toys and $43,500 to Toys for Tots in 2020. We hope to continue to help raise the number of toys donated and help make Christmas brighter for children and families nationwide. This year, when a First Nation Group employee donates a toy using the Virtual Toy Box, we will match each toy with a $250 donation, up to four toys per employee, once again. During this holiday season, we look forward to continuing to give and spreading holiday cheer #TOGETHERSTRONG as the First Nation Group family.
