Michael Schwandt

Michael Schwandt serves as the President of First Nation Group’s VMS Division. A dedicated and forward-thinking leader with more than 15 years of industry experience, Schwandt joined VMS in 2008 after completing his military service. He began his career with the company as a warehouse associate and steadily advanced through multiple leadership positions, including a previous tenure as CEO.

As President of the VMS Division, Schwandt supports company-wide performance by overseeing federal contracting activities, manufacturing and supply-chain initiatives, and cross-departmental operational functions. He also provides financial oversight and analytical guidance to help drive effective decision-making across the organization.

A service-disabled Marine Corps infantry Veteran of the Iraq War, Schwandt was also deployed to Africa and Cuba during his time in the military. He holds a master’s degree in accounting and analytics from the University of South Florida.

Schwandt and his wife, Jane, have one daughter. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, sailing, and rooting for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
